The Skuldelev 5, one of five ships sunk as a blockade around 1080 in Roskilde Fjord, Denmark. The ships were discovered in 1962 and subsequently excavated. They were originally built by ship makers in a number of locations in Norway, Ireland, and Denmark. The Skuldelev 5 was probably a small warship, powered by a 50-square-yard sail and 26 oars. It had a crew of approximately 30 and a top sailing speed of 15 knots.
