If OPENCOURT does make changes to its privacy policies, OPENCOURT will modify this page accordingly. Check this page periodically for amendments. Normal Browsing

As with many websites, OPENCOURT collects certain information, even when you are not logged in to the Site. When you browse, read, or download information from the Site, data is collected by OPENCOURT, including but not limited to your IP address, URL request, browser type, and date and time of your request. In addition, OPENCOURT uses a tool called Google Analytics™ to collect information about use of this Site. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit this Site, what pages they visit when they do so, and what other sites they used prior to coming to the Site.  OPENCOURT uses the information it gets from Google Analytics only to improve the Site.  Google Analytics collects only the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit this site, rather than your name or other identifying information. OPENCOURT does not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with personally identifiable information. Information You Provide

OPENCOURT requests personally identifiable information when you register for an account. Information may be used or requested to perform research, improve usability of the Site, administer mailing lists or online communities, or other activities related to OPENCOURT services. This information may include, but is not limited to, personal names, e-mail addresses, location, and occupation.

If You Do Not Wish to Disclose Personal Information

If you do not want to provide OPENCOURT with certain personal information then you may opt out by not registering for any account that requires such information. OPENCOURT prefers to independently object to over-broad requests for access to information about users of OPENCOURT’s Site, but OPENCOURT cannot assure you that it will be able to do this in all cases. The Site’s content is intended for adults and OPENCOURT will not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. Posting

Posting or updating content on the Site is a public action, and all content may be publicly visible.  Identification of all contributed content may include, but is not limited to, display of your account name. All content may be retained for restorative, archival, or research purposes by OPENCOURT. Editing or deleting content may alter the displayed state of the content, but will not permanently delete the content from the Site.

Security

Because information sent to the Site is not encrypted, you should not send messages containing information that you consider highly sensitive to this website. OPENCOURT uses standard security measures to ensure that information provided by you, including your personally identifiable information, is not lost, misused, altered, or unintentionally destroyed. OPENCOURT also uses software to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage. Except for authorized law enforcement investigations, no attempts are made to identify individual users or their usage habits.  However, your confidential use of the Site cannot be guaranteed by OPENCOURT. OPENCOURT shall not be responsible for any harm that you or any person may suffer as a result of a breach of confidentiality in respect to your use of this Site or any information you transmitted to the Site.

Removal or Correction of Account Information

You may also “Unsubscribe” from the site by emailing OPENCOURT with the subject “unsubscribe” and your username in the message. OPENCOURT will email you back as soon as your account has been disabled. This will have the effect of concealing the information that you provided upon registration from users of the site, other than administrators. If you unsubscribe, you will lose access to the parts of the site for which you must provide your account name in order to gain access.

If your account is edited by you, OPENCOURT will not make any attempt to apply your edit to backup copies that OPENCOURT may have of the information, and in the event that it is necessary for OPENCOURT to restore its database from a backup, it is possible that your edit would be lost and the information previous to your edit would be restored. In such an event, OPENCOURT might not be able to determine that this had happened. Your recourse in such a case is to edit the information again.

If you unsubscribe, the information in your user record will not be displayed to users other than administrators. In addition, content or materials you have posted or uploaded to the site will no longer be displayed to users other than administrators, with the exception of certain materials that may be required for proper functioning of the Site. Information, content, and materials may be retained in OPENCOURT’s database and backup copies thereof, for OPENCOURT’s records, and as necessary for OPENCOURT to comply with governmental orders, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, enforce any agreement you have entered into through OPENCOURT’s sites and as otherwise deemed reasonably necessary by OPENCOURT.
