Video: Triple Murder Suspect In Court Two Months Ago

A man accused of murdering his sister, mother, and mother’s boyfriend in Weymouth last Thursday had previously been arraigned in a separate case in Quincy District Court on September 8 on charges of attempting to commit a crime and being in possession of burglarious tools.

Donald Rudolph, 18, had allegedly tried to break into a residence as part of a dispute over drug-money debt, according to the assistant district attorney (ADA) arguing for bail on behalf of the state.

The ADA also relayed police report details including testimony from alleged victims that Rudolph had thrown a hammer, which he said he carried with him “in case he needs it” and “in case he runs into the police.” Alleged victims in that case also described a period of harassment leading up to the incident in question, during which they said they found their cat dead behind their residence with a screwdriver through its head, according to counsel.

Defense counsel asked the judge to consider in her assessment of bail that a psychiatrist three months prior had diagnosed in Rudolph symptoms of bipolar disorder, ADHD, depression, and schizophrenia.

Judge Moriarty set bail at $1,000 cash.

Donald Rudolph’s father and mother both appeared in court on that day on their son’s behalf.

The defendant was also involved in several other recent cases at Quincy District Court.

Just wondering how his defense attorney and the judge are feeling now. Did he get the “help” he needed?

  2. Terri Lovell says:

He never should have been given parole for this crime. This kid was a time bomb waiting to go off. If he was held without parole his family might be alive today.

This kid should get HELP!!!!!,you know!!!!! Nobody, except his family helped him. Everybody thought he was a weirdo, monster, idoit, and hipacrite!!!! I THINK he’s a sweet boy, but confused, alone, unwanted, troubled, unloved!!!!!

      • justine says:

Um no he got LOTS of help! Where are you getting your info from? fox 25 news? That’s no excuse for killing someone we loved very much, you know anybody murdered, who was very close to you causing you to cry every day?

  3. Ashley says:

“if this man is so violent and dangerous…” I bet she’s eating those words now.

  4. Julie says:

This is why the mental need to be locked away and not let out. Ya they might get better taking their meds but they always stop taking them and end up killing. The justice system is a big fat joke.

    • rae-rae says:

First of all i do not like that statement you just made about the mental needs to be lock up;there is alot of people out there that needs help,i’m not saying i like what he did,but the law let this kid back into the streets without any help,if he gotten help and was put in a mental hospital for an evaluation,i believe none of this would of happened,so you need to think about what you said because you never know what that kid is mentally going through;i know,i myself is going through it;;.

      • julie33 says:

yup and then he can decide he wants to stop taking his meds and go and kill again and use the mental excuse to get off again. So ya they need to stay locked up sorry but wake up, maybe if one of these people kill someone you love you would feel different.

There is no help for a person like this. Especially for someone that Fred described as total evil and violent, a person that could not be helped and did NOT WANT help. Someone who glorified violence and liked to torture and kill animals. And that the family was scared to call the police when he unwanted, would show up at the house for fear of what he’d do when he was released.

Sadly, he said all this to us on the day he died. That kid waited for him to get home and this was premeditated. Please please please see through the “he couldn’t help himself he was mentally ill” garbage theyre going to pull and really take a look at the evil he has done….and how “conveniently” he doesn’t remember what happened. Don’t let him be sent to a mental hospital thats going to get shut down and he is released. To whoever keeps shutting them down, thanks a lot for keeping us safe. Amazing lives were lost and we are deeply saddened by this preventible tragedy.

You cannot cure someone like this!!! Stop caring more about “untaxed money” like drugs etc and care about the real sickos that are NOT curable- like this kid and sex offenders! Of you’re worried about overcrowding- death penalty !

Do you need a tragedy to be more personal to see this??????
It’s just so sad. It just seems like the wrongdoers are given more rights than the victims. What’s the point of being good, is the message I’m seeing.

  7. Hannah says:

I wonder the SAME thing,JustSoSad, if Donald will get the help he needs,Anyone should talk to him, instead of leaving him HANGING there!!!!!

  8. Hannah says:

SOMEONE OUT THERE should help this kid!!!! They should talk to him face-to-face, Don’t think he’s a weirdo, monster, or a crack head. In my opinion, he’s a confused, unwanted, hurt boy. Doesn’t feel like he’s loved, FEELS like he’s worthless to the world and everybody around him. Can’t leave him hanging there!!!!!

  9. Really ? says:

Help him are you people nuts also? Why should anyone help him ? He killed 3 people not to mention the 2 kids that will never know their mother now because their uncle killed her. And yes he is worthless, he felt the people he killed lives were worthless so yes he is worthless scum

  10. Hannah says:

Sorry,Just my opinion,Guys!!!!!. I just know what he is going through because I feel “alone” and “confused in this world.

  11. julie33 says:

Feeling alone and confused in the world DOES NOT make it ok to kill 3 people, especially one that is a mother to twins. Someone needs to watch Hannah, do a welfare check on her family members please.
