On Monday we asked you to submit questions for our Radio Boston interview with Republican gubernatorial candidate Charlie Baker. I was really impressed by the number of well-formed and concise questions that came in.
The feisty 13-minute interview came and went… and none of your question were asked. Kevin Gilnack (@kgilnack) totally busted us on Twitter:
if u dont have time to use q’s from ur website’s comments, please don’t ask us to post them.
I think some explanation is in order.
Baker was not able to join us live, during the 3 o’clock hour, so he came in for a “pre-tape” at 1 p.m. We really prefer to have guests in the studio live — particularly because it means we can take calls.
The first question we got in the comments? 1:05 p.m. It was too late to work in your questions. (It didn’t help that our post went up late in the day.)
So I’m working with a producer to get your questions in front of Baker. I will let you know if, when and how he responds. Stay tuned.
Meanwhile, as our series of candidate interviews continues, the incumbent Gov. Deval Patrick joins Radio Boston — live! — to take your calls, questions and tweets at 3 p.m. Get over there and submit your questions for the governor — and if we don’t use them, you can blame me personally.
