Spend this Saturday, Sept. 24, wining and dining on locally-produced, hand-made treats at Eat Boutique’s Local Market, 1-5pm, at Fort Point’s Twelve Chairs. It’s Back: Boston Local Food Festival
The Boston Local Food Festival will be celebrating regional and organic foods next Saturday, October 1, 11am-5pm, at Port Channel on the Boston Waterfront. The festival, themed “Healthy Food for All,” will offer freshly harvested produce and seafood, delicious dishes made with local ingredients, as well as take-away from Made-in-Massachusetts producers and tastings of local craft beer, mead and wine. Demonstrations and meet-and-greets with local farmers and producers will also be a part of the day. Boston Chefs’ site has all the info here.
Come Out for Grilling Out
Enjoy delicious food prepared by amazing local chefs at “Grilling on the Green,” Sunday, Oct. 2, 4-6:30pm in Cambridge. The evening, hosted by Chefs Collaborative and Metro Boston, will be filled with live music and great fare served up by chefs from around the city. When in . . . Boston?
Get a taste of Italy and Italian culture vis a vis exhibitions of artist Suzanne Heller’s beautiful watercolor paintings of Italian life on Thursday, Oct. 6 at 8pm, and Saturday, Oct. 22 at 4pm. The first event will feature Heller’s works plus samplings of Italian wines, hosted by Hellen Gallo of Winebow, at Bellezza Home & Garden. The second event will feature Heller’s watercolors and a variety of Italian olive oils from Sabatino & Company at Martha Richardson Fine Art. Both events are free and open to the public, but you are asked to RSVP with Sara Baer-Sinnott.
