NATIONAL TREATS

E5 For the Ribeye
So we all know that vending machines are the perfect vessels for that midday junk food craving. But an Alabama convenience store has revamped this snack machine and transformed it into a quick and easy steak distributor. Dubbed the ‘Smart Butcher’, this is, in essence, an all-in-one refrigerated meat machine. Is anyone else thinking about how psyched Ron Swanson would be at this concept? (Parks & Recreation fans, anyone?)

A Canine Cold One
If you’ve ever wished that you and man’s best friend could literally kick back and have a beer together, you’re in luck. This week, HuffPost Food has released an article about Bowser Beer, the first (and only?) beer for dogs. Its creator insists that his brew, while pretty off-the-wall seeming, is safe and delicious for your pooch.
