It’s Mardi Gras. Happy Fat Tuesday, everyone!
If you’re looking to celebrate (or an excuse to), or simply want to enjoy a great cocktail and some N’Awlins soul food, here’s a Sazerac Cocktail, demo’d by local barman Evan Harrison, and a chicken and sausage gumbo coming to you straight from down South via Fenway resident Allen Collier. Both recipes are from the folks at how2heroes.
NOW you’re livin’!
I was listening to your radio broadcast discussion today March 9, 2011 regarding funding of your radio station. What is the amount of money needed to keep your radio station solvent after deducting your listening audience’s donations? I would be more than willing to double or triple my donation to you each year. This is just food for thought. You might want to send each person who has supported you this past year with an overview of your expenses, with a request to double or triple their donation this year! If this is to time consuming then you could reveal your expenses in a news item with an appeal to the general public explaining the critical nature of your request. My husband and I enjoy all of your programing and cannot imagine being unable to listen to you on the air. We trust your news broadcasts as truthful, and have heard news that you have presented on YOUR station that never gets aired on the evening news (Channel 5) at 6 P.M., or brought to light by Diane Sawyer on the National News. Best wishes on your fundraising.
