NATIONAL BITES

All Natural
In terms of healthy eating, there’s good news for Chicago students: the city’s School Board has announced they will begin serving chicken that has been raised with no antibiotics. Let’s hope such progress will only expand to other cities. Things in Boston seem less hopeful, however.

Animated Eats
It was really only a matter of time before The Simpsons tackled the ongoing surge in popularity of food blogs and food-related programming. This week the show gave attention to this trend by creating an episode jam-packed with three amazing, familiar guest stars: Marge, Lisa, and Bart start their own food blog.

GLOBAL TASTINGS

Lunch Hour
The European economic crisis seems to be affecting more than just day-to-day business. HuffPost Food has reported that Spain’s traditional multicourse lunches could be at risk. Many believe that eliminating this midday feast would increase productivity and help workers get home earlier at night. Ouch.
