We started the morning on Route 9 thinking about food: The smell of fresh bread and pastries permeated the air at Padaria Brasil Bakery in downtown Framingham. Highly recommended are the coconut bread and my personal favorite, the pao de queijo — Brazilian cheese bread.

On Twitter, I asked people for lunch suggestions in Framingham. You all must have been hungry… See everyone’s suggestions and add your own after the jump.

@emmabeedev:

Big Fresh on rt 30 (in the “food mall”) is super yummy.

@ajvsell really comes through:

Mexican: Acapulco’s on 9E by the Pike ramp. Italian: La Cantina on 135 by Keefe Tech HS. Teppanyaki: Chef Orient on 9W by Pike ramp.

Turkey sandwiches: Gerard’s on Water St., northside of town. Greek: Aegean on 30E before Shopper’s World. No shortage of great places.

@dboothe:

Green Chili Restaurant for Indian Food is really good quality and friendly

@GoodCookDoris:

Don’t miss Rasoi…& the Indian Grocery around the corner from it in Trolley Square. Fabulous food in the back of the grocery.

@davebperry:

bollywood grill behind legal sea foods in the best hidden gem

WBUR’s @StevenEBrown:

I’m partial to Tennessee’s BBQ 341 Cochituate Rd Framingham. Pulled Pork Sandwich is great! http://www.tennbbq.com/

@LMortensen:

The Chicken Bone in the center of town is a little rough around the edges, but theirs are among the best buffalo wings I’ve ever eaten

@amischke:

Check out Welcome Indian Restaurant on 9 eastbound just east of Edgell Road. Yum! And a local biz with super-nice staff.

And in the comments, Donna and Gene suggest:

My husband and I (non-Brazilian Americans) absolutely LOVE the Brazilian restaurant called Barreto’s Steak House on Route 9 East in Framingham. The food is quite tasty and delicious, varied in color and texture, and the man who owns this gently pastel-colored restaurant is very sweet.

Nom, nom, nom. Where do you like to eat in Framingham?
